Circle Saturday, January 17, 2026 on the calendar — it’ll be a night where past and present collide in the Orange Pit. Columbus East will tip its cap to the 1995–96 Boys Basketball team, honoring the group that powered its way to an IHSAA Sectional Championship back on March 2, 1996, now 30 years in the rearview mirror. The celebration doubles as a big night of hoops, with the Olympians hosting Seymour in a Hoosier Hills Conference matchup. JV gets things going at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity game. More details will roll out as the date approaches. Until then, plan to be there, fill the stands, and show these former Olympians that their championship legacy still hits home. Go East.
