Good luck to our Columbus East track and field teams as they compete this weekend! Here is everything fans and families need to know for the meet. Event Logistics Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026. Location: Columbus North High School. Admission: Tickets are $7.00 (plus a service charge for electronic purchases). Spectator Seating: Non-participants must stay outside the fence surrounding the track. Columbus East Team Camp: Our team will be located in the east-side (visitor's) bleachers. Schedule of Events While the coaches will meet at 10:30 AM, the first events for fans to watch begin at 11:00 AM. 11:00 AM — Field Events Begin: Boys Discus Girls Shot Put Coed Long Jump (Open pit for 2 hours) Girls High Jump Girls Pole Vault 11:30 AM — Running Events Begin: 3200M Relay Finals 12:00 PM — Running Finals (Timed Finals Only): *Note: Girls will compete first in all running events.* Running Order: 1. 100/110 M Hurdles 2. 100 M Dash 3. 1600 M Run 4. 400 M Relay 5. 400 M Dash 6. 300 IH 7. 800 M Run 8. 200 M Dash 9. 3200 M Run 10.1600 M Relay Competition Format Scoring: The meet will be scored for the top 8 places (10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). Field Event Finals: To provide more early-season repetitions, field athletes can earn three additional attempts by hitting specific distances: Shot Put: Boys over 42' / Girls over 35' Discus: Boys over 110' / Girls over 85' Long Jump: Boys over 18' / Girls over 15' Awards: The winning school will receive a trophy, and individual ribbons will be awarded to 1st through 8th place finishers.
