The Columbus East girls track and field team was represented by two student-athletes at the 2025 IHSAA Girls State Finals, held June 7 at North Central High School in Indianapolis. Senior Carsyn Schlehuser competed in both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, qualifying among the state’s elite sprinters. Schlehuser placed 26th in the 100 meters with a time of 12.82 seconds, and followed with a 21st-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking in at 26.36 seconds(PR). It was a strong conclusion to a decorated senior campaign for one of East’s top sprinters. Junior Kai Scott also took to the track, racing in the 300-meter hurdles. Scott placed 26th overall in the event, finishing in 49.72 seconds. Her appearance marked another milestone in her growing career, as she continues to develop as a key contributor to the Olympians' program. Though the Olympians did not advance to the finals, their presence on Indiana’s biggest high school stage capped off a memorable season for Columbus East girls track and field.
